Making your own knickers is actually quite easy but if you're relatively new to the craft of sewing you're going to need some extra help. All
of my lingerie patterns are designed for lightweight woven fabrics and
for your first project I highly recommend starting with 100% cotton.
Knickers
in silk are of course beautiful but don't start your knicker
making adventure there. The
fabric shown is a crinkle finish chiffon in 100% silk and while the
finished knicker is undoubtedly beautiful the fabric moved constantly (it was PAINFUL!), silk is for experienced and confident sewers only.
